Work with DWP drawing patch files and DSG drawing database snapshots from the desktop app.
You can also access advanced features that are not available as AutoCAD commands.
Shown above, the patch in the right pane was created by comparing the drawing database with a previous version.
In most cases drawing database snapshots are temporary. But you can save and share them.

If you are experienced with drawing exchange group codes and values, add entities and assign handles (Repair).
Select View and Validate to check check your edits. Click the AutoCAD button to creates a .dxf file from the drawing database (this does not overwrite the .dwg that created the snapshot).
The DWG button saves the drawing snapshot to its linked drawing. See Drawing Link to change the output file name.
Patch files are usually created in AutoCAD or the History window. As an advanced feature, you can use data in the DX Editor.
Creating a patch from, or merging a patch into into the editor requires drawings with a common version history.
Work with DWP patch files directly.
If you have two patches created from the same base drawing (common ancestor), you can check for conflicts. This advanced feature compares your changes with their changes to identify issues. For example, you both edit the same object in a different way.
