About Code Truck

Code Truck LLC is a Florida Limited Liability software company formed in 2017.

Co-founder and developer Richard Frank has written AutoCAD third-party software since Release 12 (1992), eventually joining Autodesk in 2008. Frank worked with Autodesk until 2023, primarily with the AutoCAD Plant 3D team. After leaving Autodesk, Frank decided to develop software that would support worksharing for AutoCAD drawings -- specifically, worksharing that did not require team members to divide work into xrefs, lock drawings, or remain connected to the Internet or their LAN.

Products such as Autodesk Collaboration Pro (Civil 3D and Plant 3D) provide tools that synchronize external data, but none support editing the same drawing on separate devices.

Removing this restriction required developing a robust merge strategy for the entire drawing database. This means supporting tables and objects that may not be visible in model space. It also means recognizing when an automatic merge is not possible -- instead, providing history and tools that assist a manual merge.

Drawing Sync uses AutoCAD ObjectARX and core console to produce a Trusted DWG.

That same drawing-database engine is what now produces DXF-CSV -- a plain-text form of the drawing database an AI can read and write directly. It grew out of chat sessions with AI models, not a spec written in isolation, and it's still developed that way.

Code Truck released a game called Meteor Cube for iOS, Android, and Windows in 2017. The game was not commercially successful.
