Installation

As an individual, Drawing Sync is free to use.

Drawing Sync supports DWG TrueView, which allows you to view previous versions from History quickly.

To install Drawing Sync

The installer and all executables are signed with a code signing certificate (CSA) that protects software from alteration and verifies the identity of the publisher.

Download Drawing Sync from the Autodesk Store at Autodesk App Store (AutoCAD) or here if you don't want to use Autodesk App Manager.

If you see a Download warning message from your browser click … and Keep.

If you see a message that says Windows Protected Your PC, check that the Publisher is CODE TRUCK LLC and click More Info and Run Anyway.
Click Next to accept defaults. In the User Account Control (UAC) dialog, click Yes. Close to exit the installer.

The installer registers Drawing Sync commands (demand loading) for installed versions of AutoCAD.
If you want to verify installation, start AutoCAD and enter DSABOUT in the Command line.

If demand loading is disabled use the APPLOAD command to load C:\Program Files\Code Truck\Drawing Sync\dwgsync25.arx (AutoCAD 2025-26).

New products require a certain number of downloads and installs before Microsoft and Google stop warning about potential risks. Thank you for being an early adopter.

AutoCAD LT

To complete installation for AutoCAD LT do the following:

Enter APPLOAD in the Command line.
In the Load/Unload Applications dialog under Startup Suite click Contents and Add. Browse to C:\Program Files\Code Truck\Drawing Sync\Agent\Drawing\acadlt.lsp and Close. Restart AutoCAD LT.
Enter DSRIBBON in the Command line.
In the Collaborate tab, in the Drawing Sync panel, click Settings.

The DXSESSION, DSIMPORT, and DSMERGE commands are not supported.

AutoCAD Version Upgrades

If you install AutoCAD after Drawing Sync has been installed, right-click the Drawing Sync icon and Run as Administrator one time to register commands for demand loading.

Drawing Sync installation applies to all verticals and toolsets for the version release. For example, if AutoCAD 2026 is installed and you later install AutoCAD Civil 3D 2026, you do not need to re-install or register new commands.
