How does Drawing Sync use my data?

Drawing Sync requires occasional sign-in to access your subscription. If you are assigned a Team or Enterprise subscription, your sign-in is used to read project data.

Identity

Drawing Sync uses Autodesk Platform Services (APS) to verify your identity and determine if your account is managed by your organization.

If you are assigned a Team subscription, data access may be granted or revoked by your project admin. If you are assigned an Enterprise subscription, your account credentials are managed by your SSO admin.

Project Data (Individual)

Drawing Sync uses Autodesk Desktop Connector to access project data from Autodesk Docs, Autodesk Drive, and Fusion Team.

Design and engineering files such as drawings are copied from the Autodesk Desktop Connector workspace to a local repository (version history) on your device when you synchronize tracked projects.

The location of the repository is identified in settings. The default location is in the local user profile on your device.

Project Data (Team and Enterprise)

Drawing Sync uses APS to access project data in Autodesk Docs.

Autodesk Docs project names and document metadata such as file names, modified dates, and last modified author, are collected from Autodesk Docs when you browse to select a cloud project.

Engineering data and design documents such as drawings, are downloaded by the desktop app to a local repository when you synchronize.

Unless explicitly configured by you or your admin, engineering data is neither stored nor analyzed online by Code Truck servers.

Delete account and data

To remove the subscription from your device, in the ribbon click App > Reset Settings and uninstall. To remove your account from Code Truck servers visit the Delete Account page.
